The children appeared to be in good health, but had not eaten in several hours, a police report said.

The children were taken to the Goshen Police Department and later placed into the custody of the Indiana Department of Child Services.

Police responded to the scene at 8:08 p.m. and the mother was found at 8:20 p.m., according to police.

Police were able to find a parent and his residence. The Department of Child Services was also contacted and a report was made regarding the incident. Police did not include an age for the child or a time of the incident. No other details were available.
