ELKHART — A boy making threats inside a school bus was caught and returned to his parents Friday morning, May 10.
Police responded at about 8:30 a.m. to the Carriage House Apartments in the 3200 block of Pleasant Plain Avenue to calls that a child was claiming to have a knife and was making threats inside a Concord school bus. The boy allegedly fled after he was confronted by the school bus driver.
Chantell Williams, a resident at the apartments, said she saw police chasing after the boy Friday morning, but she didn’t know why. She knew the child as a neighbor’s son.
Mary, another resident at the apartment who did not want to be identified by her last name, said her grandchildren ride the bus from which the boy fled.
Police caught the child, but they did not find a knife on him. They returned the child to his parents, said Detective Lt. Peggy Snider.
