GOSHEN — A Goshen man was arrested after he led police on a 4-mile chase by car and then on foot Thursday morning, May 2.

Police attempted to stop Ronald Bothe, 35, at Elkhart Road and Rieth Boulevard at about 11 a.m. But he didn’t stop, instead leading police on a chase on the north side of Goshen.

According to a report from the Goshen Police Department, the car pursuit ended in the 700 block of Bainbridge Place. Bothe then attempted to run from police. He was arrested shortly after on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, criminal recklessness with a motor vehicle and “numerous traffic tickets,” police said.

Bothe also had four Elkhart County warrants for his arrest, including on a charge of manufacturing methamphetamine.
