SOUTH BEND — An Elkhart man who pleaded guilty to the charge of distribution of child pornography received a 45-year sentence at the U.S. District Court of Northern Indiana Friday, May 3.
According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jeffrey Cripe, 38, was sentenced to 20 years in prison and 25 years on supervised release. Cripe pleaded guilty to the felony offense on January 18, 2013.

The material included sadistic images of minors being sexually abused.
Cripe also attempted to approach minors between the ages of 12 and 16 online, enticing them to perform sexual acts and creating pornographic images of themselves for him.
Cripe was arrested July 24, 2012 and formally charged in August with three counts of distribution of child pornography, two counts of enticing a minor to engage in sexual activity, one count production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
