GOSHEN Man pleads guilty to dealing in cocaine

An Elkhart man pleaded guilty to four counts of dealing in cocaine.

GOSHEN — An Elkhart man pleaded guilty to four counts of dealing in cocaine Thursday morning, May 2, in Elkhart Circuit Court.

Jose Alvarez, 40, agreed to a total sentence of no more than 30 years in prison for pleading guilty on all four charges. All sentences will run concurrent.

Alvarez was arrested Jan. 27 when officers from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department conducted a search warrant at his residence, 2212 Pierre Moran Drive.

In court, Alvarez admitted to having delivered cocaine on four different dates in April and May of 2012.

His sentencing hearing has been scheduled for June 6.
