Search warrant yields felony arrest in Elkhart Tuesday

    ELKHART — An Elkhart woman was arrested Tuesday, March 26, in her home after police served a search warrant.

    Members of the Elkhart Police Department Drug Unit served the warrant shortly after 8 p.m. at 1038 Portage Lane, Apt. C after a one- to two-week investigation.

    Captain Mike Sigsbee of the Elkhart Police Criminal Investigations Unit said officers found about 51 grams of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of more than $5,000, along with marijuana.

    Danika Williams, 20, was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine, a class A felony, possession of marijuana, a class D felony, and maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony.
