Michigan police looking for robbery suspect

Michigan State Police are looking for suspect in Mottville gas station robbery.

MOTTVILLE, MICH. — Police say a man robbed a gas station/convenience store just after it closed Monday.

According to a press release form the Michigan State Police, the robbery happened at about 11:15 p.m. Feb. 25 at the Stop-N-Go Gas Station and Convenience Store on U.S. 12.

The clerk told police they had closed up the store when the suspect confronted them. The suspect took the clerk into the store and forced the clerk to give him the bank deposit. Then, the suspect ordered the clerk to the ground and left the scene.

The suspect is described as a 5-foot-6-inch man, possibly in his early 30s, thin build, about 160 pounds, and wearing a ski mask.

The Constantine Police Department, Three Rivers Police Department and St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.
