Boy found with knife wound remains in hospital

    A boy was taken to the hospital after he was found with a knife wound in Dunlap.

    DUNLAP — A 17-year-old boy in Dunlap was flown to Memorial Hospital in South Bend after he was found with a knife wound Tuesday, Jan. 15.

    Goshen and Harrison Township Emergency Medical Service units were called around 6:31 p.m. to the 60000 block of Missouri Ave., from where they took him to a landing zone at Peddler’s Village in Goshen for the patient to be airlifted.

    Capt. Jim Bradberry, public information officer with the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department, said the boy remains in the hospital, where he is being treated for non life-threatening injuries.

    He said detectives from the Sheriff’s Department are still investigating the incident.
