Four arrested for Elkhart robbery

ELKHART — A 14-year-old was among four arrested Tuesday night following a robbery in Elkhart.

Ricky Beaver, 32; Raymond Cross, 24; Henry Shorter, 33; and a juvenile were arrested on preliminary charges of robbery.

Elkhart Police Department officers was sent to 726 W. Bristol St., Apt. 120, around 9:04 p.m. in response to a robbery that had just happened. Upon arriving at the scene, officers took a description of the suspects and the vehicle in which the suspects left.

Police found a vehicle matching the description on the 300 block of Bridge Street. After a traffic stop, police found four individuals in the vehicle.

The owner of the vehicle allowed officers to conduct a search inside the vehicle, where they found some of the items that were taken from the apartment and a weapon.
