Goshen festival sculptures vandalized over weekend

Several ice sculptures from the Goshen Fire and Ice Festival this weekend were vandalized.

GOSHEN — The City of Goshen and Downtown Goshen Inc. are offering a $500 reward for anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the individual or individuals responsible for the vandalism to several ice sculptures from the Goshen Fire and Ice Festival held on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 4 and 5.

According to a press release from the Downtown Goshen Inc., several ice sculptures were vandalized between Friday and Monday.

Someone smashed and destroyed “a significant number of the downtown sculptures,” including the winning piece from the competition, valued at more than $500.

More than 50 sculptures were created over the weekend as part of the Fire and Ice Festival, an annual event that starts on the first Friday of January in Goshen.
