Big Brothers Big Sisters to sponsor amateur beer brewing and wine making competition

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Elkhart County is sponsoring it's inaugural amateur home brewer and wine making competition.

Big Brother Big Sisters of Elkhart County has announced a new date for Bottlecaps and Corks, its inaugural fundraising event featuring local home brewers and home vintners.  Awards will be given according to results by a panel of judges as well as a People's Choice Award. The event will take place at Christiana Country Club on June 29 from 1 to 4 p.m. and will be open to the public.

Tickets for the event are $40 and include a souvenir glass, a food item and tasting until all alcohol has been served or 4 p.m. (whichever occurs first!).  Reserve your tickets by clicking here.

Home brewers can enter as many entries as they like at a cost of $10 per entry. The judging competition will take place prior to the Bottlecaps and Corks event where the People's Choice Award will be determined. 

Beginning June 1, entries for judging may be dropped off at Christiana Creek Country Club, 116 W. Bristol St., Elkhart;  Quality Wine & Ale Supply, 108 S. Elkhart Ave., Elkhart;  Iechyd Da Brewing Co., 317 N. Main St., Elkhart; and New Paradigm Brewing Co., 600 S. Main St., Elkhart.
