Golden Egg Pancake House will serve its breakfasts elsewhere.

The restaurant has been at 3421 Plaza Court, Elkhart, for 10 years and is moving to 305 N. Nappanee St., where Shekinah Asian Market & Deli was most recently.

George and Sandy Fotopoulos, owners of the Golden Egg, are thrilled to be heading to a new locale. "It's a great move," he said.

They had some lease issues at their current location on the north side of Elkhart. The former Rax restaurant they'll take over is slightly smaller, but only by about 20 seats, he said. They've started telling customers and urging them to follow them to the new location. "A lot of people are very excited about it," she said.

They plan to close at Plaza Court on March 23 and reopen on the west side of town by mid-April, though the latter depends on the Elkhart County Health Department and other factors.

The couple continues to operate George's Gyros, 1808 E. Bristol St., Elkhart.
