Here's where to go for some real St. Patrick's Day food

Here's a list of seven local spots that will have corned beef and cabbage on their menu.

As St. Patrick's Day approaches, some area restaurants are preparing to celebrate the holiday with a traditional Irish plate of corned beef and cabbage. Here are seven local restaurants that will be serving the dish for your enjoyment:

Chubby Trout – Half-off sushi won't be the only special on Monday, March 17, at the Chubby Trout. Next Monday the restaurant will feature corned beef and cabbage at both lunch and dinner. Miles Lab – Known most commonly as a burger bar, Miles Lab will serve up corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day. The bar is located at 3763 E. Jackson Blvd. in Elkhart. To find out more about their Irish meal, call 574-294-6000 or visit their website. 

Five Star Dive Bar – The bar will be serving corned beef and cabbage Saturday, March 15, through Monday, March 17. They are located at 561 East Jackson Blvd. in Elkhart. To contact them visit their website or call 574- 294-7500. 

McCarthy's on the Riverwalk – Located at 333 Nibco Parkway in Elkhart, McCarthy's will be serving corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day. To contact them, visit their website or call 574-293-2830.
