GOSHEN — Seats are filling in for this year’s Elkhart County 4-H Fair concerts just three days after tickets went on sale.
As of Tuesday morning, the Justin Moore concert, which will be held July 23, has sold the most reserved track seat tickets. Only 435 out of the estimated 1,200 total seats were left, according to the Elkhart County 4-H Fair website.
Here’s how many tickets were left for the other concerts as of Tuesday morning:
- 3 Doors Down, July 19: 524 tickets left
- Tyler Farr, with guest Parmalee, July 21: 876 tickets left
- Danielle Bradbery, with guest The Swon Brothers, July 22: 972 tickets left
Reserved seats for each of the four concerts cost $30, regardless of the location of the seats. If the concert is not sold out, the public may purchase tickets just outside the venue on the day of the concert. All concerts will be held at 8 p.m. and all Grandstand seating is free.
The Francesca Battistelli concert will be free and concert-goers will be seated on a first-come, first-serve basis. This is the first time the fair board has arranged a free concert on Sunday, which is the traditional free-entrance day at the fair.
Tickets went on sale Saturday morning, May 31. Fair board president-elect Rich Utley said ticket sales at the fair office have not been as high since online ticket sales started in 2013.
Utley said the Justin Moore show was the biggest seller on Saturday at the fair office, but sales patterns may change as fair time approaches. Some shows have sold out in the past, but that’s not always the case, Utley said.
“It depends on the show, however popular a certain show would be,” he said. “And it depends on how big the demand is for that show.”
