GOSHEN - The Elkhart County 4-H Fair Board is putting the finishing touches on the 2014 concert lineup and plans on announcing the performers next month.

Rich Utley, President Elect, said Tuesday, Feb. 19 that negotiations with six acts are essentially finished.

Fair officials are now simply waiting for contracts to be completed.

A seventh act is expected to be added. Utley said one performer backed out from initial negotiations, forcing fair officials to look for another option to fill the stage for the Sunday night show.

Utley couldn't say whether or not the Sunday performer will be ready to be announced with the rest of the lineup next month, but did not anticipate having much trouble filling the slot.

Other than the issue with the Sunday night show, though, negotiations have gone smoothly, he said.

The Fair Board plans to announce the entertainment lineup at its next meeting, to be held on March 19.

The March meeting will also feature announcements about several of the programs to be held throughout the week, the 2014 parade marshal and what will be new to the fairgrounds and event this summer.
