Elkhart man dies after falling into grain hopper car

30-year-old Eric Rodman died Friday, Jan. 24, after an accident at Anderson's Mills in Pigeon Point, Mich.

A 30-year-old Elkhart man died in a work-related accident Friday, Jan. 24, as reported by The Elkhart Truth's news partner WNDU.

An announcement from Billings Funeral Home identified the victim as Eric Rodman.

Rodman was loading railcars for his employer, Anderson's Mill in White Pigeon, Mich., just before 11 a.m. when he lost his footing and fell into a hopper car while it was being filled with grain, reports WSBT.

Further details were not available as of Saturday afternoon.
