A growing Bristol auto parts maker will conduct a hiring event Wednesday, Aug. 6, aimed at filling more than 100 full-time machine operator and related positions.
The event will run from noon to 6 p.m. at the Bristol American Legion, 905 Maple St.
Chassix, called Diversified Machine Inc. before merging with Troy, Mich.-based SMW Automotive in April 2013, makes automotive chassis parts for General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, BMW, Mercedes and Nissan.
"Managers and employees take pride in a cutting-edge ability of Chassix to both cast and machine their auto parts,” according to a press release from WorkOne Northern Indiana, which is facilitating the hiring event.
Openings include press operators, x-ray operators, CNC operators, casting and molding operators, tool and die personnel, maintenance workers and forklift operators. Pay rates were not provided and a spokesperson for Chassix could not be reached for comment.
Job seekers should come to the event prepared to interview with a Chassix representative, dressed ”to make a favorable impression...” the press release states.
