Toy Barn car dealership will sell Lamborghinis, Bentleys and other luxury vehicles in Goshen
GOSHEN — When Dominick Siclari is asked how a car dealership that sells luxury and exotic vehicles will fit in Goshen, his answer is “why not?”
Siclari is the general manager at Toy Barn of Goshen opening Saturday, May 31, at 711 W. Lincoln Ave. just west of downtown. The former West Side Furniture building has been transformed into a 40,000-square-foot showroom with hardwood floors and brick interior walls plus offices, a customer lounge and a space for detailing cars.
“The vision is to offer cars that are fun and a little bit more unique than your typical vehicles,” Siclari said. “We’re looking to be a national brand, so we’re at the very start of putting that together.”
The new dealership in Goshen is Toy Barn’s second location. The other is in Dublin, Ohio.
Customers won’t see minivans and daily commuter cars in the showroom. Siclari said he plans to fill the space with well known high-end brands like Lamborghini, BMW, Bentley, Porsche, Ferrari and Mercedes, among others.
“We will carry everything from $10,000 up to several hundred thousand, as long as it’s a special car that’s fun and fits that mold,” he said.
Toy Barn is not an “elitist dealership,” Siclari noted.
“Why is it that people in Goshen or anywhere in the country can’t be car lovers? That’s what we cater to: car lovers — not expensive car buyers,” he explained. “In terms of the high dollar, expensive cars, although the immediate local market may not be the best equipped to buy those types of cars, the Internet has really changed things in the last couple of years.”
Toy Barn of Goshen will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday with live music, food, prizes and, of course, lots of cars. The dealership will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.
