NAPPANEE — Karen Sherer Stoltzfus is resigning as executive director of the Family Christian Development Center, effective in early June.

She's moving to Lima, Peru, in July to co-direct Goshen College's Study-Service Term. She'll live there for a year with her husband, Duane Stoltzfus, coordinating academics and service assignments for three groups of Goshen College students who are studying abroad.

Sherer Stoltzfus served as executive director at the Nappanee organization since October 2009. She'll be replaced by Mark Mikel, who most recently served as therapist, clinical supervisor and addictions therapist at Bashor Children’s Home in Goshen.
