Cass County, Mich.

CASSOPOLIS, Mich. — Thomas A. Stephenson has been appointed as county surveyor for Cass County, Mich.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in surveying and engineering from Ferris State University and is a licensed surveyor in Michigan and Indiana. After graduation he joined his family’s business, Stephenson Surveying, which he purchased in 2012, according to a press release.

Stephenson also serves on the Cass County Survey and Remonumentation Board and the Jefferson Township Zoning Board.

Stephenson is stepping into the position after the passing of his father, Roger Stephenson, who was elected to three terms.

ASA Electronics

ELKHART — Yu Qi has joined ASA Electronics as the newest international staff accountant.

Qi’s related experience includes an accounting internship with a consulting company in China and working as a certified tax volunteer at United Way.

Her first language is Mandarin, which will allow her to conduct business with ASA’s staff in China and do translation for the company.

Ruoff Home Mortgage

ELKHART — Rich Enfield was announced as top loan originator in March for Ruoff Home Mortgage’s Elkhart office.

The top spot at each branch office is determined by the number of closed loans during the month. Enfield has been recognized for this achievement several times in 2014. He’s been in the mortgage business since 1985.

Ruoff Home Mortgage is a Fort Wayne-based residential mortgage company with 10 branches across the region.
