AlphaGraphics Elkhart announced it has bought and closed Middlebury Graphic Arts, a commercial printing company.

The acquisition will increase AlphaGraphics' customer base in Elkhart and LaGrange counties and provide additional equipment to the AlphaGraphics facility in Elkhart, AlphaGraphics president Pat Welch said in a statement.

Middlebury Graphic Arts owners Jeff and Jackie Barnes, who acquired the company in 1994, are retiring. All four of their employees have been absorbed by AlphaGraphics Elkhart, Welch said.

"We feel confident our customers will benefit from this acquisition and will be well served by the services AlphaGraphics brings to all our accounts," Jeff Barnes said in a statement.
