Presentation to warn seniors about investment fraud
A local workshop will teach seniors how to increase their financial literacy and avoid fraudulent schemes.
Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson will review top investment scams that target seniors in a talk March 3 at Greencroft Middlebury, 701 Windridge Drive, Middlebury, east of Das Dutchman Essenhaus off Wayne Street.
The 3:45 p.m. event is part of Lawson's Indiana Investment Watch program, created to increase financial literacy and educate Hoosiers about the various types of securities fraud. The program is funded from fines imposed on violators of securities laws.
