ELKHART — Gaska Tape Inc.'s Elkhart plant, for the second year in a row, has given away a new car to an employee as a way to encourage longevity and good attendance.

The company's president and owner, Jack B. Smith Jr., this week gave a 2014 Chevrolet Malibu to employee Gwen Buck. She was chosen through a random drawing which consisted of names of employees who had been with Gaska for five or more years and/or had perfect attendance in 2013.

Gaska Tape produces closed cell foams and adhesive foam tapes for the recreational vehicle, transportation, industrial, construction, heating and air-conditioning, weather-stripping, electronics and medical industries. It was founded in 1965 and is located at 1810 W. Lusher Ave.
