1st Source Insurance

SOUTH BEND — 1st Source Insurance has announced the addition of Matt Jarvis as commercial lines producer in the South Bend area. In his new role, Jarvis will work closely with companies to identify risks and exposures, and offer creative insurance solutions. Jarvis has 14 years of commercial insurance sales experience, and has earned his Property and Casualty and Life and Health licenses.

Council on Aging of Elkhart County

ELKHART — The Council on Aging of Elkhart County has named Teresa Shaffer as the new director of development. Shaffer’s duties include the development and execution of the annual fundraising plan and securing financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations including major gifts, charitable gifts and endowments. Prior to joining the Council on Aging, Shaffer served as vice chancellor/dean of the Elkhart County campus of Ivy Tech Community College. Shaffer has also been involved with the Elkhart County community in serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Greater Elkhart Chamber of Commerce, volunteering for CARES, and getting involved with Rotary and United Way.

Cressy & Everett Real Estate

ELKHART — Scott Hammontree has been promoted to managing broker of the Elkhart Cressy & Everett Real Estate office effective Aug. 1. Hammontree is a licensed realtor in Mich. and licensed broker associate in Ind. Joining Cressy & Everett in 2011, Hammontree has been active in the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association — Recreational Vehicle Indiana Council (IMHA-RVIC) as an executive board member, holding the position of vice president of the council in 2010. Hammontree received the IMHS-RVIC President’s Award that same year.

The Elkhart Truth

ELKHART — The following employees have been hired by The Elkhart Truth:

Lori Akers has been hired as national account manager. Akers has more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience.

Allison Cusick has been hired by The Elkhart Truth Advertising Department. Cusick will work as digital marketing manager, her mission being to create digital revenue through email marketing, deals and contests. Cusick came to the department via circulation and Strawberry Fields Marketing Agency.

Sharon Kerestury has been hired as real estate account executive. Kerestury started her career in retail industry, and has previously served in various positions with other companies for more than 20 years, including store general manager, area manager and corporate recruiter. After wanting regular hours in 2002, Kerestury changed her career path to outside sales and went to work for Yellow Book USA as an account executive for 4 years, working various markets throughout the northern Indiana/Southwest Michigan area. Following this period, Kerestury moved on to the South Bend Tribune as an outside sales account executive.

Adam Kirkpatrick has been hired as local sales manager. Prior to joining The Elkhart Truth, Kirkpatrick worked for United Healthcare.

Jeff Metzler has been hired as advertising account executive. Metzler has 30 plus years of experience as a designer, art director, creative director, writer, and sales and marketing professional.

Josh Schoetzow has been hired as inside advertising account executive. Schoetzow’s primary goal is to continuously grow within the company.

Patricia Wittkopp has been hired as advertising account executive. Wittkopp comes to The Elkhart Truth with more than 15 years experience in retail, commercial, advertising and corporate sales. Wittkopp’s advertising sales will be slightly concentrated on print, with the majority of her focus in digital, website design, internet commercials, IYP and SEO.

EverGreen Recreational Vehicles, LLC

MIDDLEBURY — EverGreen Recreational Vehicles, LLC has announced that Chris Daniels has been appointed regional sales manager of its south central region. Daniels will be selling the i-GO, Sun Valley and Amped Toy Hauler, and will also be in charge of all sales activities and retail training within the central United States. Daniels brings over 10 years of sales experience, previously working for some of the best-known brands in the RV industry.

National District Attorneys Association

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — During the summer board meeting of the National District Attorneys Association, incoming President Henry Garza appointed Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney Curtis T. Hill, Jr., to the NDAA Executive Committee. Hill, serving in his third term as Elkhart County Prosecuting Attorney, is a permanent member of the board, having previously served as vice president. Hill also co-chairs the Strategic Planning Committee.

Penguin Point

WARSAW — Penguin Point Franchise Systems, Inc. has promoted the following two long term associates to key management positions:

Michael Russell has been named director of finance. Russell has been with Penguin Point for over 30 years in a number of accounting positions, most recently serving as controller.

David Meier has been promoted to director of operations. Meier has served as division manager since joining the company in 1997, with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including a number of management roles.

RV/MH Hall of Fame

ELKHART — The RV/MH Hall of Fame has named Jeff White sales and marketing manager for the Northern Indiana Event Center (NIEC), with additional duties within the hall. White’s responsibilities include promoting events at the NIEC and coordinating booth sales in the Supplier Hall. White brings more than 20 years experience in sales, training and new markets development to his new position at the Hall and NIEC.

Strawberry Fields Marketing Agency

ELKHART — The following employees have been hired or promoted by Strawberry Fields Marketing Agency:

Mishanna Cramer has been promoted to inside advertising account manager.

Shane Frost has been hired as senior marketing strategist. Frost began his career in the media business in 1996 as a feature writer and reporter, moving onto photography and eventually making his way to The Elkhart Truth in 2002. Frost moved into his own marketing and sales business, along with broadcast media, before coming to Strawberry Fields in June.

Patti Przygoda has been hired as project manager.

Amanda Searer has been hired as marketing strategist.

Emma Smith has been hired as designer, where she will also work with The Elkhart Truth.

Mark Wolf has been promoted to advertising director.
