ELKHART — StrataShops, an Elkhart-based online retail company, and ATC Trailers, a Nappanee-based trailer manufacturer, have been named “Companies to Watch” by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
The companies are two of 33 to be named to the list, which were chosen from 300 nominations.
The award recognizes private businesses that employ between six and 150 full-time employees and have between $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue or capital.
The 33 companies hail from 14 Indiana counties and have combined revenues of more than $422 million, a 36 percent increase from 2012. They are expecting to create more than 345 new jobs this year.
“The entrepreneurial spirit soars in this year’s class of ‘Companies to Watch,’” said Eric Doden, president of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. “With the spark of a great idea, the ingenuity to develop solutions and the determination to achieve greatness, these companies demonstrate what it takes to stand out in the marketplace.”
All 33 companies will be honored at a ceremony Aug. 22 at Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.
