CHARLOTTE, Mich. — Spartan Motors Inc. announced that Joseph Nowicki is stepping down as CFO and treasurer to accept a position with another company.
Lori Wade has been named interim chief financial officer and treasurer effective March 22. Wade has served as the company’s executive director of finance since February 2008.
Prior to joining Spartan, Wade spent more than 21 years at Eaton Corporation, where she served as worldwide Sarbanes-Oxley manager, logistics center controller and other financial management positions.
ELKHART — Patrick Industries Inc. announced that Jeffrey M. Rodino, executive vice president of sales and operations, has been promoted to the position of chief operating officer.
Prior to assuming the position of executive vice president of sales and operations in December 2011, Rodino served as vice president of sales for Patrick’s Midwest division. He has also served in a variety of top-level sales and marketing roles since joining Patrick in 2007, and has more than 19 years of experience in serving the recreational vehicle, manufacturing housing and industrial markets in various capacities.
Ruoff Home Mortgage
FORT WAYNE — Fort Wayne-based residential mortgage lender Ruoff Home Mortgage announced that Heidi Cintron was the top loan originator for their Elkhart office for the month of February.
The top spot in each branch office is based on the number of closed loans during the month, as compared to their fellow peers.
Cintron has been with Ruoff for more than two years and has been in the mortgage industry for 7.
FORT WAYNE — ENS Group announced that Tammy Kleinman, network operations center (NOC) manager, earned the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA): Windows Server 2012 certification.
The certification validates the primary set of Windows Server 2012 skills, relevant across multiple solution areas in a business environment, to reduce IT costs and deliver more business value. Additional skills include the installation, configuring and administering of Windows Server 2012 and advanced services.
GOSHEN — DJ Construction recognized Frank Stoffel for 10 years of employment with the company.
Stoffel was presented with a commemorative clock at a company meeting in February. Stoffel is a carpenter at DJ and is part of DJ’s Service Group, which is dedicated to smaller repairs, maintenance and remodeling jobs.
Stoffel also works with former clients on warranty issues and new clients on maintenance work of all kinds. Prior to his years at DJ, Stoffel worked with various independent carpenters and learned to make Early American furniture.

Mark Fairbanks joins Centier as mortgage loan officer. Fairbanks is an experienced mortgage lender and key member of Centier’s growing mortgage lending division in Mishawaka and the greater South Bend area.
Sheila Flint-Sieradzki joins Centier as a trusted financial advisor with more than 25 years of experience in banking and finance and a knowledge of the local business environment in Mishawaka and St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaGrange and Marshall Counties. Flint-Sieradzki holds her Series 6/63 Investment License and Indiana Life Insurance License.
MISHAWAKA — PNC Bank announced the appointment of Scott Sperry to wealth management investment advisor for PNC Wealth Management in the Northern Indiana Market.
Sperry will provide investment management services to Wealth Management clients in Northern Indiana, which is comprised of the northern third of the state. Sperry formerly spent more than 21 years with J.P. Morgan Private Banking, most recently as vice president.
MISHAWAKA — Arkos Design Inc. announced the addition of Dennis Weaver to their Mishawaka office.
Weaver has worked 12 years in general contracting and 23 years in design and contract administration. Weaver is licensed in the State of Michigan and required Indiana cities. As director of integrated services, Dennis will provide leadership for Arkos Design teams in their Mishawaka and Niles offices to increase effectiveness of construction administration services.
SOUTH BEND — Elkhart Plastics Inc. (EPI) announced the promotion of Jake Hixson as the company’s first national product manager of DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) Systems.
Hixson, who has been with Elkhart Plastics at the Portland office for 10 years and was most recently the sales and engineering manager, will now work with original equipment manufacturers (OEM’s) to provide vehicle solutions for DEF delivery systems.
Hixson will work with OEM’s to create programs and technologies to best support growing market demand and meet with OEM’s to present technologies provided by EPI and help determine their specific needs for the vehicle application. Hixson will also translate those needs into a final design and manage the project through production. Hixson has been working in rotational molding sales, design and engineering for 10 years.
