Amber Alert issued for 1-month-old Delano Wilson

After a one-month-old was abducted Wednesday afternoon, Aug. 27, in Indianapolis, an Amber Alert was issued. according to The Elkhart Truth’s reporting partners at WNDU.

Delano Wilson is believed to be in extreme danger. Anyone with information should call 1-888-58AMBER.

Elkhart County jail to install video visitation system for inmates

The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department is getting ready to install an updated video visitation system at the Elkhart County Correctional Complex to provide a better experience for inmates and visitors.

Once the new system is installed, residents will also be able to visit with inmates via video from any location with Internet access.

Middlebury man admitted to molesting three male relatives, police say

A Middlebury man was arrested Thursday, Aug. 21, on four felony charges related to sexual assault.

Tyler N. McIntire-Cogemi, 19, faces two counts of child molesting, one as a class B felony because it occurred prior to July 1, 2014, and one as a level 3 felony because it occurred after July 1. He also faces two level 6 felonies — one count of performing sexual conduct in the presence of a minor and one count of dissemination of matter harmful to minors.
