The St. Joseph County Clerk’s office now is issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples, according to The Elkhart Truth’s reporting partner, WNDU.

That announcement was made several hours after a judge struck down Indiana’s ban on gay marriage, the South Bend Tribune reported.

Elkhart County Clerk Wendy Hudson said her offices are issuing same-sex marriage licenses as well.

Same-sex couples in St. Joseph County can apply at the St. Joseph County Courthouse, 101 S. Main St., in South Bend and at the County Services Annex at 219 Lincoln Way West in Mishawaka.
