Cassopolis Street is one of the busiest roads in Elkhart. The city is planning to construct a continuous stretch of sidewalk all along the northern portion of Cassopolis Street from C.R. 4 to Bristol Street.

Conversations about the lack of sidewalks and bike lanes in Elkhart started last month after a 72-year-old pedestrian was involved in a fatal crash in the 2200 block of Cassopolis Street.

When we posted our story about the city's plan to construct the new sidewalk, our readers took to our website and on social media to voice their opinions.
