The body that was found north of Vail, Colorado, has been identified as James McGrogan, a Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center doctor who went missing during a hiking trip last month, as reported by WSBT.

Eagle Creek coroner Kara Bettis confirmed that the body found by two skiers on Thursday, April 3, in the Booth Falls area north of Vail, Colorado, is 39-year-old James McGrogan of Chesterton, Indiana.

The cause and manner of his death have yet to be determined.

McGrogan was reported missing after he was separated from a group of friends during a hiking trip on March 14 near Vail, Colorado.
