Elkhart County Highway Department asks for $270,000 for road maintenance

The Elkhart County Highway Department plans to work on three stretches of road east of Elkhart.

GOSHEN — The Elkhart County Redevelopment Commission has approved $270,000 for paving and maintenance on three stretches of road east of Elkhart.

The Elkhart County Highway Department wants to use funds generated by tax increment financing districts to work on:

  • C.R. 6 between C.R. 17 and C.R. 19
  • C.R. 14 between C.R. 17 and C.R. 19
  • C.R. 17 between C.R. 4 and U.S. 20

The highway department’s funding request will go to the Elkhart County Council for final approval.
