ELKHART — With severe weather looming in the forecast, the Indiana Toll Road announced on Monday, Jan. 20, a ban of some types of large trucks from a portion of the roadway further west of Elkhart.

All triple-trailers, long-doubles, high-profile oversized loads and steel haulers will be temporarily banned.

The ban begins midnight Monday and continues until midnight Tuesday from exit 31 in Valparaiso to exit 72 on the west side of South Bend.

That portion of northern Indiana is expected to see heavy snowfall for much of Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

By almost all accounts, Brown was engaged in some sort of physical struggle with Ferguson police Officer Darren Wilson just moments before he was fatally shot. That confrontation, perhaps more than anything, may help explain why grand jurors ultimately decided not to indict Wilson for killing Brown.
