SOUTH BEND – When police responded to a tip saying a South Bend woman was in danger, they were only able to find a door left ajar and evidence of blood spatter in the apartment she was in. The missing woman is said to be in extreme danger, our news partners WNDU reported.
Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of East Monroe Street in South Bend after they received a call from a relative of Heidi Jones, 32. Jones had called and asked him or her for help. The apartment, located in Karl King Riverbend Tower, was empty.
Police believe a man may be holding Jones against her will, WNDU reported.
Jones is 6-feel tall and weighs around 160 pounds. If you have any information, contact the South Bend Police Department or 911.
