ELKHART — The repetitious thumping of basketballs echoed through Concord High School on Saturday, Jan. 11, as 135 kids participated in a basketball camp hosted by former NBA player and six-time All Star Shawn Kemp.

Kemp, an Elkhart native who played basketball at Concord, was in town as the high school's 1988 and 1990 teams were recognized during halftime of Friday's game. Both teams were the runners-up to the state championship in their respective years.

After the camp was done, Kemp stayed and signed autographs for everyone in attendance, which took almost two hours.
