County health department will give out limited number of flu vaccines

Clinics take place next week.

ELKHART — The Elkhart County Health Department has scheduled three flu vaccine clinics.

Vaccines will be given to children and adults while supplies last. Gwen Jaeger, manager of Community Health Nursing for the health department, said Friday, Jan. 3, that about 100 vaccines are available.

Clinics are from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 8 and Jan. 10, and from 8:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m. Jan. 13. Clinics are at the Lincoln Center, 608 Oakland Ave., Elkhart.

Vaccines are $25 for people 3 and older and $29 for children ages 6 months to 35 months. An administration fee will be charged for children eligible for Vaccines for Children. Medicare part B will be accepted with card.
