Volunteers sought for second-grade reading camp

The camp starts Feb. 5.

GOSHEN — Are you interested in helping second-graders practice reading?

Goshen Community Schools and the United Way of Elkhart County are offering reading camps to 20 children at Model, Waterford, West Goshen and Parkside elementary schools from Feb. 5 to March 28.

Volunteers can participate every Tuesday and Thursday from 3 to 4 p.m., or help out just one day of the week. Those interested will go through a limited background check and participate in a training session the last week of January.
