Well over 5,000 toys were donated for Toys for Tots on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Organizer Laureano Santos said the group received 5,650 toys at the drive held at Concord Mall.

Santos said the number collected was a slight increase over last year’s total.

The toys will be distributed on Saturday, Dec. 14, and Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Indiana Tech campus, 3333 Middlebury St., Elkhart, to families that have signed up.
