Gunpoint robbery occurs at Mishawaka bank

MISHAWAKA -- A man robbed a MutualBank in Mishawaka Tuesday afternoon, according to a report on the website of WNDU, The Elkhart Truth's broadcast news partner.

The incident happened at about 1:25 p.m. in the 100 block of South Church street, in the downtown area.

Police have not yet released any information about a suspect.

ABC 57 reports a man wearing a baseball cap with his shirt pulled over his face displayed a black hand gun and demanded money from a teller. He was given an undisclosed amount of money.

South Bend Police, including a K-9 unit, searched the area but no arrests have been made, ABC 57 posted.
