Goshen and Concord win at Elkhart Memorial band invitational

ELKHART — Local marching bands shined once again at the first Memorial High School Invitational held Saturday, Oct. 12.

Goshen and Concord high schools won first place in Class A and B, respectively. Both bands won the best music, best visuals and best general effects categories in their class.

Penn High School took home second place in Class A and Northridge finished third in Class B.

The Jimtown band received a silver rating in the Festival Class. Host band Memorial performed but did not compete.

Local marching bands will compete next at the ISSMA regional contest Saturday, Oct. 19.
