elkhart Fundraisers for Crane scheduled

Supporters of 15-year-old Sarah Crane, who was diagnosed with colon cancer this past summer, will get together this weekend for two fundraisers.

ELKHART — Two fundraisers this weekend will benefit Sarah Crane, a 15-year-old Elkhart Memorial High School student who has been fighting colon cancer.

A motorcycle ride with live music, food and drinks starting at Hoosier Harley-Davidson, 720 W. Bristol St., Elkhart, will be Saturday, Oct. 12. Registration will begin at 9 a.m., and the ride will start around 10:30 a.m. The cost is $20 per motorcycle or $30 per couple.

A Zumba party led by instructor Cary Damerow will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Elkhart Fraternal Order of Police Lodge, 1003 Industrial Parkway, Elkhart, for a $10 donation to the Crane family. Participants are encouraged to wear a Sarah Strong T-shirt or purple, Sarah’s favorite color.
