ELKHART — Indiana Gov. Mike Pence is coming back to Elkhart County, this time with a trip to Elkhart for a speaking engagement at the Lerner Crystal Ballroom.

Pence will speak at the Greater Elkhart Chamber luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 2, one of two major chamber events planned in two days.

The luncheon will happen from 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the ballroom, 410 S. Main St., Admission is $25 for chamber members and $40 for non-members, and people can register at the events page at Elkhart.org, or tables of eight can be reserved by calling 574-293-1531.

It’s Pence’s second major trip to Elkhart County since taking office in January. He visited the Middlebury area in April to make a jobs announcement at Grand Design RV and to meet with area agricultural leaders at Culver Duck.

The day after Pence’s visit for the chamber lunch, the chamber will hold its annual Biz-Ness Expo at the Northern Indiana Events Center at the RV/MH Hall of Fame.

The expo will run from 3 to 7 p.m. The chamber expects more than 1,000 people to attend and 125 businesses to have booths promoting themselves during the business-to-business networking event.
