A mostly sunny day with temperatures in high 50’s to upper 60’s greeted the 144 people who took part in the fifth annual Maple City Walk Saturday, Sept. 21. Walkers and runners had the choice of 10 K, half marathon or full marathon distances. About 15 people registered to cover the 26.2 mile marathon distance, said Julia Gautsche, Maple City Walk committee member. Last year 4 people registered for the same distance.

The walk “highlights downtown Goshen, the Maple City Greenway and encourages walking, said Gautsche Saturday.

The Walk starts at the Mill Race Powerhouse and follows the Maple City Greenway to the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail. A drawing for a pair of shoes from Woldruf’s Footwear and Apparel was held as part of the walk activities.
