Sixty students join new criminal justice program at Southwestern Michigan College

The program began its first semester this fall.

DOWAGIAC, Mich. — Southwestern Michigan College’s new criminal justice program has attracted 60 students for its first semester as an available major.

Officials at the college originally planned to launch the program with at least 20 students, according to a press release.

SMC President David Mathews said the program was developed in response to a demand for it in the community.
