GOSHEN — A boundary adjustment between two voting precincts will impact 27 registered voters living near Wilden Avenue, but polling sites will stay the same.

Following a redistricting decision by the Goshen City Council in May, the Elkhart County commissioners voted Monday, Aug. 12, to alter the boundary between two precincts — Elkhart 1 and Elkhart 7 — along Wilden Avenue. The boundary between C.R. 28 and North Greene Road will move from the north side of the railroad tracks to the south side along U.S. 33.

Polling locations for the two precincts will not change. Voters in Elkhart 1 will continue to fill out ballots at Greene Road Church, 518 N. Greene Road and the polling place for Elkhart 7 will remain at First Assembly of God, 1706 Westplains Drive.

Chad Clingerman, manager of the Elkhart County Voter Registration Office, said voters will be notified of the changes with a letter and a new voter registration card. Voters can also check the status of their registration at indianavoters.com.
