Dicor Corp. President Gregg Fore is among 10 area men showing off their legs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of Michiana with the Men in Kilts program.

Beginning Aug. 1, Fore and the others will solicit votes for themselves via donations of $50 or more for the Ronald McDonald House at Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend. Last year, Men in Kilts raised $112,000 toward covering the charity’s $350,000 yearly budget. The fundraiser ends Oct. 24, when the top vote earner will be announced at the annual McDazzle ceremony.

Ronald McDonald House offers a place to stay for immediate family of seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment, ages newborn to 21, in the Michiana area. The facility includes private bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, living area, day rooms, Internet access, laundry and showers.

Fore says that the Ronald McDonald House averages 25 families a day, with paid staff and numerous volunteers helping families.

He has launched a special website known as GForce at www.greggsleggs.com to educate the community about the charity’s work and solicit donations and votes. Visitors interested in following Fore’s fundraising journey can also do so on Facebook at www.facebook.com/GreggForeMenInKilts.
