GOSHEN — A boil water order has been issued for a section of Lincolnway East in Goshen while crews repair damage to a city water main.

The order covers both sides of Lincolnway East from Burger King, 1911 Lincolnway E., to Eisenhower Drive North, according to a city news release.

City water in the area should not be consumed without first being boiled. The water is safe for bathing, laundry and restroom facilities and cleaning dishes in a dishwasher is acceptable if the dishwasher has a sanitizing cycle.

Dishes washed by hand should be rinsed with boiled or bottled water.

After the water main is repaired, two water samples will be taken and analyzed for bacteria. If those two tests pass, the boil order will be lifted.

For more information or to report service concerns residents should call Mindy Kyle at the Goshen Water Department at 534-5306.
