Frontier Airlines will discontinue service at South Bend Airport in September

The airline is unable to remain profitable, says executive director of South Bend Airport.

SOUTH BEND — Frontier Airlines will depart for the last time from South Bend Regional Airport on Tuesday, September 10.

The airline has offered nonstop service from South Bend to Denver four times a week since October 11, 2012, according to a press release.

According to Mike Daigle, executive director at South Bend Regional Airport, Frontier was not able to remain profitable on this route.

Travelers will still be able to book Frontier flights from South Bend to Denver through September 9.
