Weekend forecast to be bright and pleasant

This weekend will see pleasant weather, with temperatures reaching the low to mid-80's.

ELKHART — Sun, heat and wind will make for a pleasant combination this weekend, forecasters predict.

The weekend will see temperatures in the low to mid-80s paired with sunshine, according to the National Weather Service.

The forecast for Friday, July 12, calls for a high of 80 degrees with a calm wind. Saturday will see similar weather with a high of 82 degrees. Sunday will climb slightly in heat with a high of 86 degrees.

In the extended forecast, the weather service predicts temperatures to rise next week. Temperatures will stay in the high 80s and may peak into the 90s by the end of the week.
