When: Monday

Key action: Passed a resolution allowing the town manager or town council president to approve work directives to the wastewater project under $10,000. The council is informed of all changes, but in order not to delay the work, the resolution gives the town manager and town council president authority to approve small changes.

Other actions: Approved the first pay application for $26,047.35 by Selge Construction for work on the Popcorn interceptor sewer.

Passed an ordinance amending the 2013 salary ordinance to reflect restructuring of the wastewater department and the recent hiring of Daniel Holderread for the wastewater department laborer position. The changes allow the wastewater department to utilize three employees instead of four.

Adopted the Americans with Disabilities Act Transition Plan for Middlebury to address pedestrian accessibility issues.

Certified that the town would seek no tax increment replacement levy for the Elroy Drive Industrial Park TIF district.

Received a certificate of ownership for the Mark L. Wilt memorial from Mark L. Wilt American Legion Post 210 Post Commander, Jack Cook.

Approved use of Memorial and East Parks and street closures for the Middlebury Summer Festival, August 9 and 10.
