Small stream flood advisory until 9:45 p.m.

The National Weather Service in northern indiana has issued an urban and small stream flood advisory until 9:45 p.m. Saturday, June 29.

The advisory is for poor drainage areas in northern Elkhart County, northeastern St. Joseph County and northern LaGrange County.

Other areas affected include southern Cass and St. Joseph counties in southwest Michigan.

Doppler radar indicated an area of showers with some thunderstorms with very heavy rain near Granger and south of Cassopolis, according to an NWS release.

Up to 3 inches of rain has fallen across portions of the area since 6 p.m., according to NWS Doppler radar estimates.
